Lennox ROF is a 6-year-old, 16.3 hand black Friesian Sporthorse gelding. He is sweet, friendly, and quiet,
and attracts attention because of his size and his beautiful black color.
Lennox is currently in professional dressage training. He has a good mouth (but not too sensitive for an amateur) and is nicely forward (without being tense or hot), making him a pleasure to ride. He stands obediently at the mounting block, walks quietly away on the buckle, or will stand patiently while you chat with a friend
if you're not ready to go straight to work. He is as good away from home as he is at home. He is consistently scoring in the 70's at recognized dressage competitions, earning High Score Champion and Reserve High Score Champion awards. He should be a nice horse for an amateur or a professional.
Lennox went to his first dressage show in May where he was the Reserve Champion High Score of the show with a 71.9% at Training Level Test 2. Lennox went to his second dressage show in June 2013 and
won all four his Training Level classes with scores of 76%, 74%, 73%, and 67%. He was also the
High Score Champion of the show for the 76% ride. He is beginning to school leg-yield and shoulder-in.
UPDATE: Lennox was shown at White Fences (Wellington) August 2013 and
won three Training Level classes with scores from 71% to 76%.
Lennox's USDF year-end median score for 2013 is 73.5%, making him a serious contender for
national year-end awards and USDF Horse of the Year Top 20.
Lennox ties and cross ties, and stands for hosing, bathing, bug sprays, and clippers. He also
loads and is a good boy on the trailer. His only known vice is that he can be bad about picking up his hind feet.
Lennox is by the Elite Book Friesian Sporthorse Grand Prix dressage stallion 'Lexington', one of the best known and most popular Friesian Sporthorses in the US. Lexington recently made his Grand Prix debut as a 10YO,
winning the class with a 60+%. In 2012 Lexington was ranked 15th for USDF Horse of the Year at
Prix St Georges with a year-end average of 69.74%, and he was featured on the cover of Warmbloods Today magazine July/August 2012 for their special feature about Friesian Sporthorses. He scored a rare '10' for Sport Potential at his stallion inspection, and has sired three consecutive National Champion Friesian Sporthorses including 'Lauderdale ROF'. Lauderdale ROF currently holds the record for the highest score ever awarded to a Friesian Sporthorse via inspection (an 89.1%), and he is a full brother of Lennox ROF (same sire and dam.) Lennox's dam is the Friesian Sporthorse mare 'Koloa', by the imported Friesian stallion Pieter fan Lutke Pienjum.
Lennox's sacroiliac was ultrasounded July 2013 as part of a pre-purchase exam, and the ultrasound revealed "slight remodeling". There is no clinical unsoundness and he flexes sound, however the slight remodeling of the sacroiliac is something which could show up on a pre-purchase exam if a buyer chose to have the s-i ultrasounded.
He has no history of unsoundness and he's been in professional training since November 2012 with no unsoundness. He's been shown in front of 5 different 'S' judges at recognized dressage competitions in 2013 and
his 'Gaits' scores have been 7's, 7.5's, and 8's. Lennox had his s-i injected July 2013.
Lennox ROF has full papers from the Friesian Sporthorse Association (FSA), is registered in the Auxiliary Book,
and has earned Bronze Elite status via dressage performance.
Lennox is for sale to a great home only. Serious inquiries welcome.
